Jeanne to the Rescue!
This evening I was having stampers block. I had time, I had supplies... I just didn't have an idea or an ounce of creativity flowing. So, I turned to my friend Jeanne for a challenge (and thankfully, she was game!)
Jeanne to the rescue!
We decided on a sketch challenge. SplitCoast has a wealth of sketch ideas so I started browsing through various weekly sketches until I found one that I hadn't tried and that looked extra fun! I settled on Sketch Challenge #105 because I liked the circular layer. I don't think I've ever done a sketch that's similar, so it seemed like a winner!
Jeanne suggested we add a color to the challenge too, but we couldn't decide one one, so we just went with "any color". Real tough, I know. But, it was enough to get the creative juices flowin'!
I used my own penguin stamp by Whipper Snapper called Cozy Penguin, and I used the Happy Winter sentiment by A Muse. I stamped the images on shimmery white paper and stitched it to a couple of layers of cardstock (olive and black). For the circular layer, I used the largest size regular circle die, and the largest scalloped circle die by Spellbinders. I stitched them together. The designer paper I used is by Imaginisce. It comes pre-glittered on one side (the holly berries on this sheet), and it's double-sided. Double-sided paper is great for projects like this. They take all the guess work out of the coordination of the two patterns. On nights like tonight, this is a GOOD thing.
Be sure to check out Jeanne's card on her blog Inky Paws! (FYI: Her card may not be posted until Wednesday morning) Thanks for the fun, Jeanne!

Too cute, the penguin reminds me of "Happy Feet, Mumbles"

Love this card, Anna. I must get myself a
little showing machine. And I really like
your ribbon. It's there but does not over power the image or the card itself.
