Blogger's Challenge Friday: Designer Paper
This week's Blogger's Challenge Friday theme was Designer Paper. We were to make designer paper a main focus on our project. I use designer paper a LOT, a LOT, a LOT... but still found this challenge to be fun!
I chose this holiday paper by Scenic Route for my project and chose to combine it with this cute snowman image by Whipper Snapper (artist Shelly Comisky). I wanted the squares of the paper to be repeated in my image, and found that the squares on the snowman's hat and scarf were a similar repeating pattern. The card and all the layers on the card are also square, repeating the design element.
The image is stamped on white cardstock and colored with markers. I used a scalloped square Spellbinders die for the green layer and adhered it to the card base with 3D foam adhesive squares. Snowmen make me happy...
Outstanding card -- great paper, wonderful coloring, and it all works beautifully. What an inspiration you are!

SWEET! Love the snowman too and how you matched up the square patterns in the paper with the ones in your snowman image. You do wonderful doodling & coloring. Very fun card.

You always make using paper so easy. I have SOOOO much of it and I never use it. I have a hard time coordinating it with stamps. Great card and love that snowman!

Such an adorable snowman and how you picked your patterened paper to match the scarf...great! I love the look of the nestibilities...This might be my Christmas present to me!!! congrats to the winner on the cute witch. Monsters Fingers sounds yummy...and we have a Halloween potluck...sounds like a plan. Anyhow...Have a FABULOUS weekend.
